This stuff is really good! I am keeping this tea as a main staple for myself. The aroma is so good, and the flavor and taste; delicious.
I forgot that THIS is the color of what matcha SHOULD look like! It's such a bright green! I really needed a matcha genmaicha in my tea collection again, as I really love the combination of the two -- better together for a super power amount of flavor in one mug. The toasty goodness of genmaicha wisping around with matcha in the mug. So good. I used a teaspoon and a half for a big mug, which might have even been a little too much. Maybe one teaspoon is enough. I'm glad I have this in the cupboard and was hoping Tealyra's version would be good -- it is!
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug // 33 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // 30 minutes after boiling // 2 min steep

woww....just.....amazing...original... tastes amazing!
after many years, finally found out a good company to buy such amazing teas...
Initially from Japan, I missed tea that resembles the ones I used to till I met this tea. It's been 40 years here, but finally, my heart can settle with this. I wasn't quite sure about containing matcha powder, but it's just the right amount. Moreover, the roasted rice gives much depth to its flavor. I am confident to share this Match Genmai Cha with my friends who know the best.
Hands down the best Green Matcha Tea, a perfect full flavored blend and most have for green tea lovers!
A really good value for money for such a nice matcha gen mai cha. I have compared this tea with gen mai cha supreme and I prefer this blend as it has more tea (less rice) and matcha added. It is a good wake-up tea as well as middle-of-a-day one. The nutritions from rice get to the water providing extra source of energy. It is one of my favourite teas
Pretty good, a nice mellow brew with a pleasing colour. It's a bit different than the other genmaicha teas I've tried. I think it should be bagged in foil to prevent oxidization of the matcha powder but it's good otherwise (don't buy too much at once for shelf life).
Grassy and umami, the toasted rice notes hit different with the added matcha. Worth trying if you like Genmaicha teas.
Really nice green tea, the matcha is fresh and adds up to the Genmai.
I'm not giving it 5 stars because it lacks the toasted "umpf" I was hoping for that I had found in Genmaïcha Matcha Émeraude from Mariage Freres.

Nice Genmaicha, nothing spectacular though. having compared it to the Gyokuro version I find it quite underwhelming, doesn't have the richness and body that the Gyokuro Genmaicha has, less grassy, fresh notes. I feel as if the matcha hides some of the flavors, or it is simply there to cover a lower quality of green tea.
I love Tealyra and wanted to try this tea for the health benefits, however, this tea literally tastes like burnt popcorn and cut grass. I don’t think I will be able to finish the bag.
