Amazing, beautiful sweet grassy flavor, I took notes of cream, milk, seaweed, cut grass, umami, spinach, among other things. its beautiful and I can see myself going through 100g in the next couple of weeks.
I love this tea especially when I was not feeling well somehow felt kind of peace and energy in my body and mind.
This tea is amazing! To describe it i have to say that it has a nice rich soothing flavor. A beautiful smoothness and depth that my previous experience with other genmaicha are blown away.
10/10 recommend this to any one willing to try.
My favourite genmaicha of all the ones I've tried. Great balance between toasty and vegetal.
One of the best Genmaicha I have tried and there were many.
The only Genmaicha that I liked as much as this one, although quite different, was Clearspring organic.
My brewing receipt:
1 heaped table spoon, 78°C, 2min in a double-walled glass.
I tried this when I was not well. It felt soothing and relaxing and had a lightness and freshness to it. I reduce the brown rice as I find that flavour too strong, easily, by jjust overflowing the cup or pot. They float quickly and tumble out.
Sometimes add grated ginger and a bit of honey. ❤️
I really like the Supreme version, so I thought the pricier Imperial Gyokuro Genmaicha would be even better. However, I encountered bitterness and a lack of noticeable rice aroma/flavor as compared to the Supreme version. The bitterness turned me off.
Aroma is delicate and blossoming, lightly floral and toasty. Bitterness is nicely restrained. But flavor is very spinach and lawn clippings.
